1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, www.numberplateshop.co.uk, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not use this website or place any orders. These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the website after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

2. Contact Details

You can contact us at any time by emailing support@numberplateshop.co.uk. Email responses are typically provided within 24 hours (Monday–Friday). Postal correspondence is processed within 3–5 working days.

3. Use of Our Products

All road-legal number plates manufactured by Number Plate Shop comply with British Standards (BSAU 145e). Show plates, if purchased, are strictly intended for off-road use only (such as car shows, exhibitions, or private property). The customer assumes full liability if show plates are used on public highways.

4. Ordering and Product Details

Orders become bespoke upon printing the registration mark. At this point, they are not eligible for cancellation or refund. Products are produced strictly according to the design and registration details entered on our Plate Builder. You are responsible for ensuring 100% accuracy before submitting payment.

5. Product Amendments and Cancellations

Requests to amend an order must be made immediately prior to manufacture. Bespoke personalized number plates are exempt from the statutory 14-day cooling-off period under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. Orders cancelled before production begins may be refunded minus an administrative processing fee.

6. Delivery

Orders with required legal documentation received before 1pm (Mon–Fri) are processed same day. Delivery options include Standard Delivery and Express Tracked Courier. We are not liable for courier delays or incorrectly entered shipping addresses. Damaged goods in transit must be reported within 24 hours with photographic evidence.

7. Returns and Refunds

We cannot accept returns on custom-manufactured number plates as they are bespoke items. Accessories (such as plate surrounds, sticky pads, or fixing kits) may be returned within 14 days if unopened, unused, and in their original packaging.

8. Defective Items

All plates undergo strict quality control before dispatch. If a manufacturing defect is discovered, report it within 24 hours of delivery by emailing support@numberplateshop.co.uk with clear photographs. Verified defective items will be remade and replaced promptly.

9. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in GBP and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We accept major credit/debit cards and secure online payments. In the unlikely event of an obvious pricing error on our website, we reserve the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund.

10. Privacy and Data Handling

Your personal data is handled securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR regulations. We retain legally mandated records for number plate manufacturing in compliance with DVLA rules.

11. Legal Compliance and DVLA Regulations

As a registered number plate supplier with the DVLA, we are legally required to verify customer identity and entitlement to the vehicle registration number for road-legal plates. Supplying false information is an offence under the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001.

12. Warranty

We offer a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects including plate delamination or detachment of 3D/4D characters under normal usage. The warranty excludes damage caused by improper drilling, overtightening screws, jet-washing at point-blank range, or road traffic accidents.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Number Plate Shop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products or website services.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
